The all new 500 Series “e” revision comes to us with an 8” featuring a 2.5” voice coil and 100oz Magnet. These new drivers come with an extra 12mm of top plate and longer coil windings that result in a 50% increase of Xmax. The power handling increases to 500 Watts on the 508. Upgrades to this series include cones with fiberglass loaded non-pressed treated paper, taller and thicker EROM surrounds with black stitching, heavier dual layering with integrated tinsel leads, and new basket and motor boot designs elevating cosmetics with DD branding.
